I have just played my first game of The 7th Citadel (borrowed from a friend) and when I was about to start the next threat booklet, I encountered an issue. When in the preparation phase of a scenario in this booklet, I was puzzled.
Do I add the production, etc bonuses each time I'm preparing for a scenario and is this cumulative or just a bonus each time and reset to be added as such each time. Wording is not clear. I assume it just adds up, but am I wrong?
Also, am I playing actions correctly?
I start with an item if any. Draw the required number of action cards from my characters draw pile, and may apply any and all abilities of action matching hand cards and items to generate extra stars, adding this to stars gained by permitted drawn action cards (depending on desire or chain restriction)
Then resolve action success of failure.
Then only drawn cards are discarded, hand cards and item cards used for abilities and bonuses remain.
If this is correct, what a nice mechanic and seems to work well.
