@Setha sure, I understand your points about "Well come". But this is a fantasy world. The game contains multiple words and expressions that are not 'proper English' but might be similar to regular English words and expressions. Animals similar to sheep are called "shleep", for example. "Well come" is another example of that.

The game is in the English language (all game instructions and action descriptions), but the inhabitants of the world do not speak 'proper English' (all flavor text and spoken text). Instead, they speak their own language that might be considered a native dialect of English that uses many common English expressions but also has unique words and expressions that may sound weird to non-natives (like the differences between British, American or Australian English).

It's just a way for the authors to create a sense of an alternative, fantastical reality. Many fantasy and science fictions authors use this. To give one example: in the world of 'A song of Ice and Fire' by George RR Martin, numbers are pronounced (and spelled) differently than in proper English. The number 45 is pronounced and written as 'five and forty'.

And I think "Well come" is just the way people speak in this fantasy world. It's written that way on purpose.

This says, to me, that if i'm told to grab card X, and card X is not in the box, i must immediately return all cards from the Past and try again.

This is true if you see a card_pick WITHOUT the little card_if_available icon.

If you see a card_pick WITH the little card_if_available icon, you do NOT return all the cards from the Past. If the card is unavailable in the box, nothing happens.

The games are completely separate. They share some mechanics, but other than that they are very different. The setting, the world and the story are not connected in any way.

1. Yes, correct.
2. At some point you might have many cards with good abilities and stars on them, and you might want to remove the cards with no stars on them (many of your starting cards), in order to increase your odds when performing an action and drawing cards. So you will have fewer cards in your deck, but the cards are more powerful and you therefore need to draw less.

I disagree. I found the rules for compound actions quite well explained, I had no trouble playing it right. But I have seen this question multiple times now on BGG and elsewhere, which means many people struggle with this rule. Therefore I think it's good that this has been added to the FAQ.

I saw this, but thought it was like just different accent, like realise - realize for American and English accent.

Yes that's what I thought as well at first (I'm not a native English speaker). But after I saw the post on BGG and after searching for it online, I learned that 'improvise' is an exception and is spelled like that in all English accents.

Thanks Sarah. Well an older version of the rulebook was posted during the Kickstarter campaign (update Feb. 2023) and it included a picture of this card. All people that saw the rulebook and replied with feedback all missed this one (including me). Even with so many people, everybody missed it, so I guess it was just a very tricky typo ;-) .

BGG user @Djsnarf posted a picture of one of the skill cards on BGG. The title of the card "Improvize" is misspelled and should be "Improvise".

Thanks! So the error was in the card list, and not on the cards themselves? -)

A question about this: the rulebook states that if all characters are unconscious or if a game effect reads "your adventure ends here", you lose. Does that mean you lose the entire Threat, or you lose just the scenario and you will have to follow the consequences for that, before continuing the next scenario?
