I've got to to
tired chickren man
and read the dialogue, getting myself
a 352 card in the process
.
Thematically it doesn't make sense to
ask him the same question three times
but is there anything stopping me rules wise?

The action to start the dialogue is
one card, and you have to do this multiple times to finish the quest anyway. What's stopping me getting three cards without speaking to anyone else?

Here is the exact text :
Take a 101 card and, if the latter is available, take a 351 card.


You should therefore only take
351
if
101
was available, and this will only be the case the first time you perform the action.
